Request for Proposals: Priority Pests: Focus Groups & Speaker Series – DEADLINE EXTENDED
Emerging pests such as grasshoppers, marmorated stink bug, western corn root worm and botrytis are a significant threat to producers in the Cariboo region. Monitoring what is occurring on the ground will be critical to managing changes in populations and ranges of economically significant species (those that cause damage to crops or harm to livestock).
An RFP has been posted for the Priority Pests: Focus Groups & Speaker Series.
The overall objectives associated with this project are to:
Refine assessment of gaps and priorities including current and emerging/future pest threats (including consideration of climate change impacts)
Confirm common objectives and priorities for cooperative action related pest monitorin and management
Provide accessible information to producers for pest identification and management of priority pests
