Request for Expressions of Interest: BC Agriculture & Food Climate Action Initiative Coordinator, Farm Adaptation Innovator Program (closes June 22, 2018)
The Farm Adaptation Innovator Program (FAIP) funds applied research, pilot and demonstration projects that will increase the ability of BC farmers to adapt to climate change and weather-related production risks, opportunities and impacts. FAIP aims to build adaptive capacity and to encourage the adoption of effective farm practices to help mitigate climate impacts.
FAIP is application driven and supports multi-year research projects that are generally led by agricultural producers or organizations, research institutions and/or sector service providers. Projects are required to include collaboration and knowledge transfer elements (e.g., fact sheets, workshops, field days). Between 2014 and 2018, FAIP provided funding for 15 projects across the province. The new phase of the program (2018–2023) will build on the learning and results from the first four years of program delivery.
