November 2018 Workshops to Develop Agricultural Adaptation Strategies for Bulkley-Nechako & Fraser-Fort George
Agriculture producers are invited to join us to develop the Bulkley-Nechako & Fraser-Fort George Regional Adaptation Strategies.
Obtain the latest climate change projections for the region.
Discuss how climate change will affect agricultural production.
Brainstorm actions to ensure agricultural resiliency.
Together we will be exploring how the agricultural sector can adapt to climate change: variable weather and changing shoulder seasons; insect, weed, pest and invasive species pressure; extreme weather events; drier conditions and drought; wildfire risk; and more. Up to $300,000 in seed funding will support collaborative local agricultural adaptation projects following completion of the strategies.
